Top Reviews
I just received it yesterday, and set up was a breeze. There were some comments here that complained about how they did not realize there was packing material inside the case, but mine arrived with a big notice taped the side and how to easily access it. So we are all good there!
I also appreciated the remote for turning on and off that front light display.
Things I had to realize on my own:
The Bluetooth and WiFi connections were USB dongles in separate packages, rather than integrated, but not listed as such here on the site or on the initial instructions i could find, nor on the small packages they came with, so the initial set up took a few minutes longer to figure out than would have otherwise. I actually wasn't sure what they were for when I realized the keyboard and mouse were not wireless.
I hooked it it to my large screen LG TV via HDMI and it works like a charm. I haven't had a tower for 20 years due to not being home much for work, but everything works smooth. So others can speak of the more nuanced specs and speed.
The only reason I took a star off is the CPU fan. I expected a decent sound for its size and what it has to do, but it gives off this odd clicking sound that just doesn't sound right for a new part, but I can't see any obstruction. And again, being 20 years out of the tower game, I don't know if this is natural or not these days.
Hello, I received this PC on 10/3/2024. It came in from the Amazon driver, with one flap of the box open. I looked at the contents inside and everything was sealed, so I did not think much on it. On 10/5/2024, I opened the box to hook up the PC.
As I removed the plastic covering, I noticed white pasty blotches all over the edges and corners of the PC outer covering. I wiped them all off...it took some doing to get them off. It was not mold...or I hope not. But I'd really like to know what that white pasty junk was? As I was cleaning, I noticed dents, gouges, and scratch marks. Nothing debilitating, but if this Company is going to advertise their products as in "excellent condition" it should be just that. Not a beat up outer case with sticky white junk all over it.
Following their instructions to setup the PC. I opened the outer case to remove the Foam inside. This foam was so tightly sealed inside of the PC. It was painstakingly difficult to remove. You can not just yank it out...or it will rip out the components inside.
Perhaps the company can offer more tips on the removal of this foam, instead of the instructions just saying "remove foam."
The foam is not yet inflated when put in the inside of the PC. Once set in the inside of the PC, the foam bag is then inflated. It is a chemical reaction. It is not inflated by someone blowing air into it. It covers every nook and cranny. So taking it out is not easy.
After removing the foam, I have to admit, the components inside the PC looked all new. With the exception of the disk drive, etc. The video card, hard drive, power supply, seemed to all be new components.
However, when booting up the PC, it would not come online.
Really, it is a great shame. I wanted an older style PC refurbished, that had a DVD/CD drive built in, since the newer PCs do not offer this anymore.
Before contacting Amazon to return the PC online, I "Did in Fact" Call the company that sold me this PC. When I called this morning at around 11AM, the company seems to be based in Canada. I pressed one for Customer Service and the message promptly told me there were a "very high" number of calls. So I waited. After about 5 minutes, my Service carrier told me that this number is no longer in service.
Hmmmmm...interesting indeed.
I paid "with Tax" a little over 400.00 for this PC. It was not worth it.
With that being said, I was still very respectful to this company that sold me this Computer. I did not open the new Keyboard, nor did I open the new mouse that was sent. So all of those components can be re-sold. They are back in the box with the computer with all the paperwork. PC is being sent back via UPS to Amazon Returns, immediately.
I have never written a review on any product that I have purchased from Amazon, regarding a complaint. This is not Amazon's fault. But I had to write one regarding this purchase I made from this Seller, because this is very disappointing.
Regards.
This is an very excellent PC and a great value for the price! It would likely not work well with the newest games on the market as they typically require the latest processors but for the average gamer it will run 98% of the PC games out there no problem. I use it mostly for work and the speed and graphics are excellent. On the evenings I decide to play a game, it works perfect for me.
