Ordered this to replace a very old laptop. It came with the desktop tower, that was less bulky than I expected and helped to save the limited space at my desk. Also included were a mouse, keyboard and external Wifi USB drive. It came with detailed instructions for initial setup, but due to my unique situation with Internet availability I quickly ran into trouble. Those instructions included a dedicated support phone number, and upon calling them I was immediately connected to an actual human being. I didn't have to deal with a computerized phone system and go through endless menus. The technician on the other end was extremely polite and professional. He immediately understood my problem and quickly walked me through a DOS promt override to bypass the issue I was having. At that point I was easily able to complete the setup without further assistance. Other than that one small hiccup, setup was a breeze and I was incredibly happy with how fast the system ran. Everything loaded lightning fast and worked flawlessly. It's really nice to be able to click on something and get instant results. Windows 11 was included with this machine and loaded instantly. It's incredibly responsive and I had no issues with functionality in any way. I am beyond impressed with this purchase and the amazing customer service backing it up.
Needed a new second computer to run Windows 11 for my wife. Our old computer could not be upgraded and was starting to run very slow. Installation of this machine was a breeze and everything worked perfectly. Speed is excellent. I am very pleased with the purchase. Great price and it fits our needs perfectly.
It's perfect -- not even any dings. I needed to accommodate Microsoft's pressure to move from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Windows 11 deployed smoothly after I powered up and connected with wifi using the included USB wifi device. I use the computer to work remotely, and it has served the purpose superbly. The cost saving compared to a new unit is huge, and the many and diverse ports compared to a laptop are a huge convenience.
The case says Optiplex 7070, not 3060. Also the pic of the back shows a DisplayPort and an HDMI port plus an oddball 9-pin serial port. Ours has two DisplayPorts, no HDMI (so we had to buy a DisplayPort cable). Whatever - the processor is as expected, Intel i5-8500. The 500GB SDD is of indeterminate manufacture (via Windows System Information - Model # SSV8 nowhere to be found on the Internet). But the machine is working, with two USB-attached HDDs that we managed to save our stuff onto before the old computer actually died. We are OK with it. It comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro, which we wanted since W10 is soon to be unsupported. For anyone reading this review coming from W10, W11 is aggressive about looping you into an all-Microsoft universe, just use what you need and you can opt out of what you don't. You do need a Microsoft account to get started when you are initializing the computer for the first time.
