I bought this laptop to try out instead of getting a consumer-grade. I have been spoiled by nicer work computers but I didn't need the newest and best. I purchased a refurbished dell tower for video and photo work a couple years ago and it was awesome for what I paid, so I tried this out and was not disappointed either. I use it for all my home and work needs on a daily basis. It goes everywhere I go and keeps up just fine. My only gripe is that it came with a docking station power supply which is HUGE. But it does the job.

I have also turned some friends on to buying refurbs and they have been happy too. I will be purchasing another one of these for my girlfriend soon.

I ordered this a little dubious since it was certified refurbished by Amazon and not Dell (this is really a third-party company named ECP.) It arrived in its plain box with just the computer, the power supply, and a couple of flyer-type pieces of documentation. One was Amazon's assurance that is backed by them and the other is instructions for activating Windows 10 Pro. I am an IT professional and set up new Dell Windows laptop computers all the time and this setup was no different other than having to manually enter the activation code (it was on a sticker on the bottom.) Visually I can't find a blemish on it. Everything works as expected. I did have to get all the specific drivers from DELL as this had a generic install of Windows 10 Pro but they have that stuff pretty automated so easy. Hooked it up to a DELL WD15 docking station with no issues. The battery doesn't last as long as brand new but for the price it is fine. Overall VERY pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend. I purchased this for home use.

Absolutely love this laptop. Having a hard time seeing the keys on my desktop. These light-up keys are the best and make it so much easier to see what keys I'm putting my hands on. I forgot they put the Windows activation code on the bottom of the laptop. I contacted Amazon because it kept giving me an error code saying it was unable to activate my windows. Amazon put my information through to the seller and within minutes I received a phone call and had my activation code in front of my eyes. Excellent customer service and quick. The laptop is super lightweight and just overall perfect. I usually don't find a laptop keypad that compares to my desktop keyboard. All the keys are where they need to be. This one is just what I've been looking for. I learned how to type in typing class on an old IBM electric typewriter. I type so much faster with the keys where my fingers can reach them so I don't have to finger-type one letter at a time. This is how they should be set up. Thank you.

UPDATE: I do absolutely love this laptop, however, I recently started getting a popup warning telling me that the battery that is installed in my laptop is not the right battery and could cause fire or damage. I have tried to contact dell and the product is no longer eligible for service because it is renewed and support for this laptop expired in October 2020. 6 months after I bought my laptop. I will now have to take it to a computer shop and have them remove the battery (which is inside the computer) and purchase the correct battery for the computer so that I can use my laptop without fear of burning my house down or without having it plugged in all the time. If I wanted a junk computer I would have gone to Walmart.
