Slight wear on the front of the case, not unexpected, initially at least seems to work ok.
a few issues:
-Windows was installed but NOT activated, it would not automatically activate, I had to type in the product key (located on a sticker on the side of the case) manually. This in my opinion should have been taken care of during refurbishment.
-Uses a SINGLE stick of DDR3 RAM, not a huge deal for basic computing tasks but if you're upgrading the processor and using the machine for light gaming and streaming it could be a concern with regard to running in dual channel mode
-The BIOS was version A09 the latest BIOS available is A19, in my opinion, the BIOS SHOULD have been updated as part of the refurbishment process.
-While upgrading the processor (the motherboard will take up to an i7 3770) I noticed that there was WAY TOO MUCH thermal paste being used, even if you plan on keeping the original CPU you might consider cleaning the old paste off and replacing with fresh thermal compound, the CPU fan was also dirty and needed cleaning. If you're not comfortable with replacing the CPU thermal compound take the machine to a qualified tech, it will take them all of 10 minutes to do the job.
-The hard disk in the machine is very old, expected for a refurb machine, I'll be replacing mine with an SSD for better speed and quiet operation.
I'm not sure what the refurbishment process entails but it seems like a very basic cleaning and diagnostics may be it. Still, the machine seems fine, initially at least. If that changes I'll update this review.

Bought this for my grandmother on her anniversary and she loved it. Now I’m buying another one as a Christmas gift for my grandfather so they will match! They both stream videos and play DirectX casino games and the i3 has no issue keeping up. If you ever do want to upgrade, the lga1155 socket makes it cheap and easy.
This PC does not come with WiFi, but you can purchase a good WiFi adapter for 10-15 bucks on Amazon and still save a ton on a reliable PC. I work in IT and haven’t found any compatible deals online. If you want to buy a good, inexpensive pc for aging parents or a kid in college, this is the best choice I’ve found.

This is not an Intel Core i3-3220 3.1GHz but an Intel Core i3-3245 3.4 GHz processor. So that's a tad bit better. This also makes the 4th refurbished computer that the memory was also correct. I've purchased refurbished PCs from here, Walmart, and Newegg and every single one except this one never had the correct amount of RAM due to wrong specs or a DOA RAM module. This one actually has 8 GB. I just did a hard drive swap from my old PC to this one, installed my graphics card, and booted up. Waited for drivers to install and it is good to go. Took around 5 minutes with a reboot that was blazingly fast. Hopefully, this PC will give me good service in the months to come. So far, it is working great.
