Amazon's Pitch "Just Like New" Not Quite True

I'm giving this 4 stars not because of the seller or the item, per se, but because of Amazon's big bold tag line that reads "Product works and looks like new.." Not quite. You can tell the unit is used. I can see multiple dings, dents, and scratches from 3 to 5 feet back. This is a definite "scratch and dent" not "just like new." These units were clearly in use somewhere, at some company, and I'm guessing were traded out/upgraded. That being said, the seller did a decent job of reconditioning and packing and shipped the unit quickly. And they were great about upgrading the RAM for me to 64MB. So to the seller (PC Server and Parts), I give 5 stars for good follow-thru, good packing, and fast shipping. As for the machine itself, it's working flawlessly. I did update Windows, the NVIDIA drivers and the Dell-specific drivers, and the BIOS from A18 to A19 (which Dell says is a critical update for the T5600). I needed a second workstation for business, and this unit will sit under a desk so the dings, dents, and scratches are no big deal. Nothing is broken, it's clean inside, fans all work and it passed all system and Dell online diagnostics. So for the money, it's well worth it. But if you're expecting a machine that "looks like new" (as Amazon claims) well, dim the lights and squint, and remind yourself that you're saving a fair amount of $$ here.

My primary use is as a home workstation for 3d modeling and design, along with some software development. We will run multiple applications, along with various virtual machines as needed, with no problems.
For gaming, I can see some better options in the ~$1k price range.
It was also completely refurbished, being cleaned and set up correctly, along with being well packaged. I have had some nightmares with other companies just sending out the old hardware they bought along with a Windows disk, but not from these guys.

Well packed for shipping but the unit is filthy and full of cosmetic damage. The front grill is half of the unit and the access panel was jammed in place and could not be opened without the use of tools! The unit is missing its second video card.
** Update The seller quickly responded to my issue and quickly sent the needed hardware to correct the issue. It would have been nice to leave a 5-star review but the unit was to dirty and in disrepair (cosmetically). The workstation runs great and performs as expected otherwise.
