I was skeptical about a refurb computer but my fears were misplaced. As advertised, the computer doesn’t look used in any way. I set it up and found it to be extremely fast. I’m using it in a music studio setting and at one point I had to restart it after a software install. My friend and I couldn’t believe how fast it restarted. That’s the benefit of an SSD main drive, fast processor and plenty of RAM. I tried to find comparable new computers but didn’t see any with a 1TB SSD, so cost comparisons are difficult, but it was several hundred dollars less than even the closest computers with only 256MB SSD. A couple of things to note about Dell Optiplex ... 1) as Dell’s business line, it doesn’t come with an internal WiFi, but the USB WiFi supplied works fine 2) apparently Dell doesn’t use HDMI for the monitor, using a Display Port instead ... which means you may need to buy that cable ($6-7 on Amazon). I’ve suggested to ReCircuit that they should supply one. I called support twice and got immediate helpful service both times.

Everything was great except for the processor. I didn't think to look at which i7 it was and just assumed it wasn't a discontinued model. Oh well, you get what you pay for and this thing did the job. 5/5 for price

This computer is approaching the point where there is not too much that technology can make one better as far as my kind of use is concerned. Programs open and operate so fast that any faster would be pretty much unnoticeable for me. The only thing still slowing me down is my wifi, and that is not a function of a computer. The bottom line is that I am delighted. There was minor case scratched and paint chips, but not to a problematic degree.
